What we collect
- Account: your Google email and name (via Firebase Authentication).
- Pool log: every reading, action, note, and photo you submit, plus the timestamp and which user submitted it.
- Pool config: pool name, timezone, location (so we can pull weather), members.
- Weather: we fetch local weather context from Open-Meteo using your pool's coordinates. No identifying data goes with that request.
- Logs: routine HTTP access logs in Google Cloud (URL, status, IP, user agent), kept short-term for debugging.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Native, region us-central1) and Google Cloud Storage (region us-central1) under our project. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in.
Who else sees it
- Anthropic (Claude): when you upload a photo or send the assistant a question, the photo or relevant log content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not train on this data per their API terms.
- Open-Meteo: receives your pool's coordinates (only) when we fetch weather.
- Pool members you invite: see the pool's full log.
- That's it. We don't sell or share data with anyone else.
Cookies
We use a session cookie for sign-in (HTTP-only, secure) and an invite cookie when you click an invite link before signing in (cleared after the invite is consumed). No analytics or tracking cookies.
Deletion
You can delete an entry from any chat card. Pool owners can delete an entire pool from Pool settings → Danger zone; that nukes every reading, photo, and token attached to the pool. Email support@poolquant.com if you want your account and all associated data wiped.
