Terms of use

What this is

PoolQuant is a private-alpha tool for tracking and reasoning about pool water chemistry. It's provided as-is. Things will break. Read the disclaimer first.

Acceptable use

Use the service for your own pool(s) and pools you have permission to maintain. Don't try to scrape, abuse, or break the service. Don't use it to provide professional pool services to paying customers — talk to us first if you want to.

The assistant

The assistant gives suggestions based on the log you provide and current weather. It is not a licensed pool professional and can make mistakes — including dosing mistakes. Verify anything chemistry-related against a manual test, a kit, or a human pool pro before acting on it. PoolQuant is not liable for outcomes that follow from acting on the assistant's output.

Your data

You own your readings, photos, and notes. We store them so we can show them back to you and feed them to the assistant. We do not sell them. We do not share them with third parties beyond what's necessary to provide the service (currently: Google Cloud for hosting, Anthropic for AI). Photos sent to Anthropic are processed for value extraction only and are not used to train models per Anthropic's API terms.

Account

Sign-in is via Google. You can revoke access from your Google account or sign out in the app. Tell us if you'd like all your data deleted; otherwise it sticks around as long as your account does.

Changes

We may update these terms when we ship features that change how data is used. Expect a heads-up in the app if anything material changes.
